Wow... what a busy day. We made it through our first official day of kindergarten. The kiddos did amazing! We learned a lot in our half day today. We learned: the magic word; how to sign the words thank you, go, sit down, yes, and no; how to walk quietly in the halls; lunch room routines; the boundaries on the playground; the rules of our school's Peace Path; the "Bear Hunt" song; where we sit in community circle; which direction is North in the classroom; bathroom rules and procedures; how to walk by the office quietly and give Ms. Bridget silent waves and smiles; the attention signal, "hey, hey... ho, ho"; and much more. Our kiddos also got the opportunity to meet many important teachers at our school. It is hard to believe we learned so much in such a short amount of time. We wouldn't be surprised if your kiddos are ready for bed a little early tonight!
And just a reminder that TOMORROW IS RED DAY! Have your kiddo wear as much red as possible!

Hooray! The daily is finally here! We can't wait to get the year started! We are excited to have a day with our kindergarteners and their parents!
REMINDER: A-L 8:30-9:30 and M-Z 10 WOW... it is hard to believe that school starts in less than a week. Ms. Evenson and I are busily getting ready for our kiddos to arrive. We can't wait!
I am anxiously awaiting our kindergarten meet and greet we have each year with the kiddos. The kindergarten teachers are very fortunate to get the opportunity to meet our new kiddos one on one before the school year begins. It is a great time to get to know each other, for us to meet the families, give the kiddos a tour around the classroom, and just lessen the anxiety of starting the new year. I look forward to meeting my new kiddos and their families tomorrow and Friday! Let the new school year begin!!!
