We began our day today looking at Dr. Seuss books with our friends at our tables. We noticed that we were able to read many of the words in the books. What an exciting discovery. We were lucky to have two parent visits today teaching us about their role in our community. Both parents play an important role in keeping our community physically fit. Mrs. Cherubini taught us about Pilates, showed us some tools used when practicing Pilates, and then did some exercises with us. After lunch, Mrs. Kolendich came to teach us about her role in our community. She led us in some exercises and then some stretches. She also talked to us about the importance of being physically fit and how important physical fitness is, not only to the body, but especially to the brain. Thanks ladies for the great visits today. During our afternoon Inquiry Learning Centers I pulled kiddos over to my group so they could add the two parent visits into our Community Members books we are in the process of creating. We are really enjoying discovering all the different ways to balance our "apple blocks" inspired by Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss.
